Honestly, sometimes we need to enjoy a simple, sweet romance, and We Live in Time does away with the sweet elements quite well. With good music, simple dialogue, and structure, it still maintains an emotional connection with its viewers, as the chemistry and banter between the two leads is visible and good. Obviously due to its predictable style, it feels a little long with its pace, and some elements can put you to sleep, but overall Crowley’s direction and the performances of Garfield and Pugh hold it together.
